Even though I like the way they look, it turned out to be a terrible idea. The stems leak a white milky substance which is the plant's defense mechanism. This stuff is bad news. Later that night my cheek had swollen, was red, and had bumps. The next morning one of my eyelids was swollen. I think I maybe got some of the white sap on my hands and touched my face and failed to wash it off.
I got on google which was another terrible idea because it told me I was either going to die or go blind. I think the Internet does that often when searching for medical answers though. Symptoms of a cold? Oh you have cancer.
Thankfully I'm back to normal, but it gave me a scare. I tried and tried to figure out what kind of plants these were with no luck. Moral of the story = be super careful with certain plants especially if they have a white latex sap.
On another note, how sad were you to hear of Robin Williams passing? We rented The Butler last night and toward the beginning of the movie my husband was browsing his phone and saw that Robin Williams died. A couple minutes later Robin Williams appeared on The Butler as Dwight D. Eisenhower. We had no idea he was even in the movie. It was eerie and fitting at the same time. RIP.

Thank you! I was wondering what type of plant it was!
