Nebraska Crossing Outlets Grand Opening

http://www.nexoutlets.com/
I'm off to the new outlet mall, Nebraska Crossing Outlets! (Sorry work. Priorities.) Today is their grand opening.

Under the offers tab on their website, there is a section that says, "Get a 20% off discount at participating stores for the Grand Opening of NEX Outlets between now and January 2, 2014". Let's hope most stores are participating!

Here are some of the latest articles on the new mall:

I'm going with my mom, aunt, and cousin. We're hoping today will be less hectic than tomorrow when most people are off work. But who knows, I might have to throw some elbows. Black Friday all over again. I kid I kid. I'm actually a very calm and collected shopper. I'm the one in the corner with my game plan, lists, and coupons.

I'm hoping to take pictures and update you on our findings.

It's apparently a shopping week. Last night, I went to Shop the Blocks. It's an event that the Downtown Lincoln Association (Lincoln, NE) puts on to support local downtown businesses. Most stores have drinks and appetizers in addition to big discounts and giveaways. One of my friends won a diamond from Sartor Hamann!!!!! How awesome is that?!

I've been on the hunt for a classic pair of UGG slippers to wear around the house. I found this pair at the Post and Nickel for $51.36. They were 40% off with an additional 20% off. Score! Hopefully they'll last me forever.

I wasn't intending on buying another pair of shoes, but I came across these Tsubos from Footloose and Fancy.

The one thing I will splurge on is high quality shoes. My feet ache in cheap shoes with little lining - I must be getting old! And I'm only 26 (cue the sad violin). These were originally $130 and I got them for $55.64.

Even though I get most of my shoes from 6pm (awesome clearance section, flash sales, additional % off with coupon codes, and always free shipping), last night showed me that I can find some great deals by shopping local and supporting small businesses.

Guess I won't be doing that today though at the new outlet mall. The Michael Kors store might be the death of me. Must.remain.frugal.
